The reason we're here.
We want to carry on the legacy that Tony Wilson and Factory Records began.
Joy Division formed in Salford, Manchester in 1976. They were one of the pioneers of the British Post-Punk scene.
The group consisted of Ian Curtis [Vocals] Peter Hook [Bass Guitar], Bernard Sumner [Guitar & Keyboards] and Stephen Morris [Drums].
Though they were around for just two years they had a substantial impact on music, releasing two studio albums (Unknown Pleasures & Closer). The short time as a band was tragically cut short by Curtis' suicide in 1980, but the remaining members went on to form the hugely successfully New Order.
